Laird's history can be traced back to 1824. Its former parent company, Laird Ltd., underwent several mergers and acquisitions before Laird was ultimately established. In July 2021, DuPont completed the acquisition of Laird’s performance materials business. A global organization, Laird continues to focus on developing, manufacturing, selling, and supplying precision-engineered materials used by manufacturers to serve the electronics market. We address design challenges through products such as EMI shielding and absorbing materials, thermal interface materials, precision and structural metals, and integrated, multi-functional solutions. This latter product family resolves multiple design challenges simultaneously. Our design engineers and field application engineers collaborate with manufacturers worldwide to co-design products that address heat, EMI, and compliance challenges, which can hinder the performance of advanced electronics. The company’s 11 engineering sites, testing labs, and production facilities serve some of the world’s largest and most prestigious manufacturers across a wide range of industries, including automotive, telecommunications, data infrastructure, medical devices, and consumer electronics.
